Welcome to the server. This MOTD will give you a quick overview of the things you should know. It can also be found directly on our forum.

Rules
Most of the rules are the same as you'd find in any other server, but with a few exceptions.

No prop blocking, surfing, pushing, climbing, etc.
A. Generally, if it involves using a prop to move yourself or someone else, then yeah don't do that.
Big dumb constructions floating in mid-air is also something you shouldn't do.

B. Also you can't put a door, even with a keypad, on a public access area. This includes the PD and other places everybody goes through. You need to own the actual door to that place, before putting a fading door somewhere. (AKA no putting fading doors in an alleyway, or otherwise passage that needs to be accessible at all times, or in someone else's place)

No RDM (Random DeathMatch) except for criminals VS cops.
A. You're not allowed to kill other players for no reason (real reasons, no bullshit like "He looked at me wrong." or such.)
The only exception is for criminals against cops. They're allowed to kill each other but not their fellow criminals/cops. (No team-killing)
If you're a cop-related class and get killed by a criminal for seemingly no reason, this is allowed, and same goes for the other way around.
However, RDMing civilians and other neutral classes is NOT allowed.

B. No rogues allowed. Undercover cops, false cops, or criminals, whatever you call it, don't do that. You must respect the alliance of the job you take. Also, even if you change your job to remove the + or ~ , some players might still shoot you by reflex if your model is from the enemy team. Don't get mad at them for it.

No NLR
There is no New Life Rule on this server. This means that people do not pretend to forget they got killed. If the player remembers it, he remembers it, and that's that.
If you want to kill someone, be aware that they'll most likely be pissed at you and try to kill you back. So don't complain about it if you failed to hide or protect yourself if they manage to succeed.

Fading doors obligatory.
A. If you want to build somewhere, you have to make it accessible at all times with a fading door, and a keypad or a button. You are not allowed to build in areas you do not own, unless it doesn't block the way. No building in the PD as a terrorist. And no BLOCKING in the PD as a cop, even with a keypad. Cops are only allowed to build minor barricades that you can jump over. Except for the Nexus doors to the mayor's office which don't close back on their own or with a button.

B. Really fucking far keypads are NOT allowed. Only ONE keypad must be placed next to the fading door (no fake keypad shit) and it must be within direct eyesight of the fading door. In short, if you're in front of the door, You should be able to see the keypad and be able to use it, while standing next to the door. The fading door must also be a toggle and not time-based. And you must not use your keyboard to close it when someone is cracking it.

C. Fading door abuse is NOT allowed. Fading door abuse is when a ~Theif breaks into your place with keypadcracker but he doesn't have enough time to get into your base instead turn keypads/fading doors to TOGGLE. If your fading doors aren't on toggle you will probably be asked to do so.

No spawn camping, blocking, etc.
If you see a player spawn somewhere, please understand that this is a public area and therefore cannot be part of your own personal base. You cannot hold players where they spawn, or otherwise block them or camp them.

Do not disrespect admins/mods.
Seriously, don't, they are here to help.
DON'T ask for admin OR mod. Just don't.

Gundealers.
You MUST open a SHOP AND BE SELLING GUNS. Otherwise, whats the point of being gundealer?
Gundealers can't refuse to sell to someone.

YOU CAN'T SPAWNCAMP.

If you see anyone breaking these rules screenshot it and post it in proper section of forums unless there is an Admin on (and bob is not AFK) just type in /adminhelp so we easily notice it.

Criminals are criminals.
If you're a criminal and you can do things other non-criminal people can do, keep in mind that those are considered crimes indirectly.
For example: a Banker can legally own money printers, but if a Smuggler does, the cops may try to raid their place and destroy the printers.

Mayor & Mobboss.
Both are the same but opposite teams HOWEVER, Mayor and Mobboss are CIVILIANS so don't shoot them, if your a criminal and see the Mayor OUTSIDE of Nexus, you may HOSTAGE him for ransom. If he is in Nexus you may kill him IF HE IS ARMED AND SHOOTING.
Mobboss is just thrown in jail (If you don't know were the jail is, search the PD and you will find it eventually or ask another cop).

Don't be an ass.
Seriously, come on now.

Tips
Other things you might want to know that aren't rules.

Money:
You might not have a whole lot of money when you start so when you join and only have $500 or $1000 save up money and be a mayor or banker and buy printers and KEEP THEM SAFE otherwise they might be stolen. This is the fastest way I got money ($600K Razz)

Selling:
Gundealer sells all guns that are not admin guns, If you can get a gun from a gundealer, its NOT an admin gun!
Smuggler is a drug dealer and can buy printers.
Banker stores printers (If you want).
Quartermaster sells stuff to CPs, like a smuggler/

Stats:
Different jobs have different stats. Usually pretty self-explanatory.
As for Maneuverability, it's a stat that basically affects how much accuracy you lose from standing up, hip firing, moving, etc.
A very high maneuverability simply means the difference in accuracy between standing still and moving or aiming down the sights will be smaller than it would otherwise be. The actual accuracy stat is what is used as a base stat to determine what the actual accuracy is going to be for aiming.
Example:
High accuracy and low maneuverability = sniper that you need to stand still, crouch, and aim down the sights to be accurate
Low accuracy and high maneuverability = small weapon that isn't too accurate even when aiming down the sights, but won't lose much accuracy for moving or jumping

Trust the tools you are given.
The gun stats display, the damage indicator, the damage feedback. All those things are there to help you get a better idea of what's going on exactly on the battlefield.
Even if you see blood coming out of a guy's head when you shoot him, if you didn't see the little number under your crosshair indicating the damage, then the hit did NOT register, and so you didn't actually hit him.

Free runners rejoice!
With the Free runner job, Stealth unit, or Yamakazi, you can perfect your Parkour techniques with the climbing "weapon" in your inventory.
Type cswep_helpmenu in the console for more details.

Jobs have a symbol in front of them to categorize them.
For jobs, symbols exist to define what kind of job it's related to:
+ means it's a cop-related job. All jobs with this symbol must uphold the law, protect citizens, and insure security in the city.
~ means a criminal job. They kill, steal, lie, cheat, and all of that good stuff. Terrorists and Yamakazi's are particularly dangerous and one should always use caution when around them. Most criminals shouldn't be trusted, especially if you're not a criminal yourself.
! means an admin job. They're here to do admin things. If you shoot one of them, don't be surprised if you find yourself killed by a dozen rockets at the same time. Don't fuck with them. An admin can be considered off-duty if he switches to a different job. But not the other way around: An admin cannot be part of RP using an admin job.

First off: Since when do you have the decision to make rules?
Second: If you actually played a bit you would realize that the mob boss and the mayor ARE NOT CIVILIANS
Third: How are we expected to help then? "DON'T ask for admin OR mod. Just don't."
Fourth: Bob Frenchman himself even thinks taking the mayor hostage is dumb. ITS TDM not prancy oh we will take your mayor hostage even tho when we kill him he will respawn 2 seconds later.
Fifth: If a new player joins the server they will say whos "I", -"This is the fastest way I got money ($600K )"
sixth: You didnt even explain what spawn camp is, all you said was "YOU CAN'T SPAWNCAMP." I mean what if people dont know what that is? we have tons of kids every day join who hardly know what NLR is.
and last but not least, since when does the mob boss get thrown in jail? - "Mobboss is just thrown in jail " There arent any fricking jail batons and plus, even if you did get him into jail he would call all his criminals in there and kill ALL THE COPS.

Mayor and Mobboss used to be civilians but then people complained that they wanted to be able to kill them.

Also ransoms are fucking pointless because nobody will ever pay for them because they don't give a fuck about dying.

And no, don't you even bring the whole "but it's rp" shit, because honestly, nobody gives a shit about that. I'd rather implement gameplay oriented rules than "rp" rules. Like the civilian RDM protection, it's not just a "rp rule" to not rdm, but it's inside the freaking game itself, with the damage reduction.
