An issue that needs to be addressed

My Gmod is worse than ever because a weird problem and it's only on Gmod everything else is fine. Please leave suggestions below I know Bob said to format but I want input from anyone before I do a major step like that. The problem is constant lag as I or bull move and freeze then continue forward, like rubberbanding, but as if we kept going along wth the movements. I already wiper and reinstalled Gmod completly, I tampered with the cl_updaterates and all. Please give me the feedback!

If it was working pretty well before, a format should works as well but it also means that your computer needs to be cleaned up or get his drivers updated.
But still, it sounds like an internet problem here. What's your ping in game, and do a speed test and post the result :3

I guess I'll do the format for a last resort, I did tests and my ping literally bounces from 40-50 to 230 and back. The speed fluctuates too

I might have an idea, get something called Netbalancer, it'll tell you exactly what's eating your bandwith and how much and where and how and why and when, that way if you have something shady slowing your internet down, you'll know

Sick, that might help me for when my internet shuts down for no reason at random times, I can maybe see if something from me is causing it.

Yea that Netbalancer looks great but it wont show you other devices connected to your router. See to be sure to not have any download while you're in game. Like Torrents, games updating on steam, streams, video on youtube, voice chat like teamspeak, etc.
And be sure to look at other devices connected to your router. In fact, maybe the problem isn't coming from your computer. An other computer on your network might use too much bandwidth.
You might want to re make your network subnet on your router to optimize the speed!

If you want, i can do the subnet on your router. Just let me know how many devices (computer, phone, wifi tv, etc) that are connected to your router and i'll get you the right configs.

I was having really bad rubber banding on Rust last night and once I verified integrity it stopped.

I got some lags on gmod too. Not that much as you do pyron but i still had some so i guess that last gmod update did messed up the shit again...

I've exhausted almost everything, i verified, deleted steam off the pc then reinstalled, i had dexon come in on teamviewer to mess with my pc, bender give me various launch options and tinkering(thanks btw guys for yours and everyone's help), but nothing has worked. Bull suffers the same issue but im starting to think i need to delete his login to the pc because he has steam and all setup on there too. The slim drivers and all, what will that do? does it have to play with the internet or performance(im virtually as ignorant as 5 year old when it comes to computers)? I've updated my pc manually on graphics card and it fixed alot of issues but now its gone to shit and it's ONLY gmod. One other symptom i noticed was when i shift+tab to steam overlay, the browser whether i goto google or a steam profile, it goes straight black and blank if that gives anymore clues.
